Stephen Elliott and John Barnwell Elliott papers, 1842-1867.

Collection consists chiefly of poems by John Elliott (1841-1921), written 1864-1867 with many dedicated to his future wife and others to various Civil War soldiers in the Confederate Army. Also includes writings by Stephen Elliott (1806-1866) including a narrative of a research trip for fossils in lower Coastal Georgia and drafts of sermons, undated, as well as architectural drawings and a photograph of the Stephen Elliott home in Sewanee, Tennessee.
